As we were brainstorming some new initiatives for TripLingo in 2012, one that we really liked was the idea of offering a foreign-language Phrase a Day. We thought it’d be a great way to showcase some of the fun phrases you’ll find throughout TripLingo, but in illustrated form. We also hope it inspires you to take an interest in a foreign language while giving you a casual (and often humorous) way to pick up foreign phrases, one phrase at a time.

Je parle le français comme une vache espagnole // I speak French as well as a Spanish cow <img src="http://payload12.cargocollective.com/1/0/14042/2553691/1_alittlefrench_1.png" border="0" width="670" height="348" width_o="670" height_o="348" src_o="http://payload12.cargocollective.com/1/0/14042/2553691/1_alittlefrench_1_o.png" align="left" />
Estoy más tieso que la mojama // I'm tighter than the mojama <img src="http://payload12.cargocollective.com/1/0/14042/2553691/2_nomoney_2.png" border="0" width="670" height="348" width_o="670" height_o="348" src_o="http://payload12.cargocollective.com/1/0/14042/2553691/2_nomoney_2_o.png" align="left" />

Atlanta is full of artists, designers, community builders and innovative thinkers aiming to change their community and even the world. To continue being creative, these people need a strong environment that fosters creativity and collaboration.

James Martin, Melonie Tharpe & Cubby West are searching for the key ingredients that resonate for all creatives- whether artists, designers, or social innovators. They are embarking on a 30 day trip to 13 Southern cities, documenting creative innovation and the programs and policies that bolster them.

Check out the website here.

We are having a dinner with a collection of people we are inspired by in Atlanta. Here is the invitation.

I was brought on to the OpenStudy team to assist with some visual design in various areas. They wanted to relaunch their product as well as rethink the interaction that users have with their app. OpenStudy is a social learning network where students ask questions, give help, and connect with other students studying the same things.
My piece for the MADE show. Atlanta, GA, June, 2011.

The number of neighborhoods that the atlanta belt line will cut through is sixty-six. they are unified as one and connected through the loop forming a new overarching community in Atlanta. Individual neighborhoods are shown without boundary lines or labels to reinforce the grand space that is formed and the potential for its creativity.

Interested in purchasing? Please email me: iamjamesmartin [at] gmail.com

The ATL Disloyalty Card brings together 10 coffee shops. Once you get a cup at all of the locations, you get a free drink at either of them. It promotes the idea of them supporting each other in such a competitive market as well as providing the customer with some of the most dedicated baristas and delicious coffee in Atlanta. If you live in Atlanta, or even just visit, please share your journey in visiting the shops!

You can get your card at any of the locations! (first 1000 cards are out in the world, reprint coming soon)
